Follow Kapi
A quest for little kids and their parents who want to have fun, pay attention to what's around them and enjoy North Vancouver.
September 5, 2026 - September 30, 2026
What it is
Kapi is a little droplet. She travels from the mountains to the sea, and this September she's inviting your family to come along.Pick up a hand-painted map and a small passport at our local bookstore - Helicon Books, then follow the water - Shipyards splash park, a creek, the shore. At each stop there's a bit of Kapi's story, something for your child to do, and something for you to notice. It's free. For children roughly 2 to 6. There is no order to follow and no way to do anything wrong.

How it works?
1. Sign up below, then pick up your already printed map at Helicon Books (Address)
2. Follow Kapi! Any fountain, any creek, any shore (suggestions and prompts are provided in the passport). Do it in one day, do it any day, do it across a month.
3. Have fun!

Good to know
a small camera (a reusable one is perfect)
a magnifying glass
a jar or bucket for treasures
rain boors - the creek is better in boots
Donations
I created this adventure and wanted to share with other mothers who could benefit from both the adventure and the little pauses amidst it. Kapi is free and I had so much fun creating it. If your family enjoyed any part of it, you are welcome to leave something in return.
