A free self-guided adventure for families with children ages 2–6, across the North Shore.

What it is

Kapi is a little droplet. She travels from the mountains to the sea, and this September she is inviting your family to come along.Take the hand-painted map and a little passport, choose an adventure, and follow Kapi through the city, a creek, or the shore. Along the way there are small things for children to find, notice and do, and a few moments for the grown-ups too.It is free to pick up, or $5 to have it mailed. For families with small children roughly 2 to 6. There is no right way to complete Kapi. Wander, skip things, stay longer somewhere you love.

How it works

1. Sign up below and choose how you'd like to get your adventure pack.

Explore downtown North Vancouver, a creek, or the shore. Do one or do them all in any order. Suggestions and prompts are inside the passport.Passports are available in English and Russian — choose yours when you sign up.

Good to know

Boots make the creek better. If you have a jar and a small camera, bring them - there is a treasure to choose and something to photograph before you head home.

I made Kapi because I wanted it to exist - for my own family, and for other mothers who could use both the adventure and the small pauses inside it. It was made and printed at my own expense, and it is free.If your family enjoys it, here is what would mean the most:

A note before you go

This is a self-guided activity on public trails, in parks, and in local businesses. Children must be supervised by their caregiver at all times, especially near the water. Please use your judgment and follow posted signs. Participation is at your own risk.
